Hellos members and non-members!
It seems I have to make a journal reminder of one of our rules as we've been getting a lot submissions concerning it.
It's the sixth rule on our group rules(can be found on our front page):
Art must be neat and tidy. No notebook paper!
- we have a light quality control, no bad scans nor photosUnderline that addon. So sketches or lines or other traditional works won't be accepted if there is shadows/wrinkles/unnecessary space around the work/other unnecessary objects etc.
Why?
This is a big group and we want our members to enjoy the art we showcase, if the art has bad contrast and shadows, it is not enjoyable, the art itself can't often be seen through them.
What can I do if my photo or scan has flaws?
You don't need photoshop for this. I for one recommend Photoscape, it has served me well for years. It's a light program and doesn't need a game computer to run. One of the good aspects of it is that when you crop a image smaller or bigger, it doesn't blur them.
But there are many other (free) programs too, like Artweaver or Paint.net etc. If you don't want to download anything try Sumo paint, it's a free online drawing program.
I hope that helped some. Keep up the submissions!
